Step up Revolution ~ Gallery Art Dance

The above ‘Gallery Art Dance’ moved me to the bone. If you’re looking for inspiration, stop right here and take a few minutes to watch this dance performance. What moved me was the combination of the beauty of colour, the soft movements and the element of surprise. Somehow the beauty of it all struck me right in the heart; tears sprang out of my eyes. I felt thankful, alive and excited.

As children we grow up in wonder. We are surrounded by everything worth discovering. We get excited by the simplest things; lighting a candle, cutting paper with scissors and climbing up a chair to watch other children playing. Most children definitely laugh more than adults. They laugh because they truly enjoy what they’re doing. What happened along the way to adulthood?

A lot can happen. How big or small the trauma’s are, if it is still limitating your life it is worth to take a look at it. Most of us are afraid of the depth of the trauma, of all the emotions they might feel. From experience I know that the negative emotions will make place for loving emotions. Of course it’s not easy to dive into something painful, but how you will feel in the end is definitely worth the time, effort and energy.

Let’s learn to live more authentically. We do that by overcoming our fears and by confronting ourselves with hurt, anger and disappointment. One way to do this is to perceive more love around us. Shift your focus to beauty and let the love in. Experiencing more love helps us to feel the pain we need to let go.

Love is an energy that creates a feeling that changes and transforms the experience that we call life.

Like a butterfly spreading its wings

Bringing harmony in almost everything that surrounds me is something that makes me feel exhilarated and alive, it’s like I was born to do it.

Painting & drawing gets me in this relaxed yet focused mood, I prefer to paint positive things, as what I paint influences how I feel, it can alter my mood, when I have a bad day it cheers me up.

I like it when people discover painting as a way to express themselves and release their emotions. It gives a sense of harmony to complete a painting, just like a symphony, it all has to flow into oneness.

Sketching is also fun to do, I like to leave some lines on the paper, the roughness and dynamic of it is pleasing to the eye. It’s fun to make illustrations that relate to a certain topic, that way there is a deeper feeling added to a story.

Interior design is also one of my passions and I have helped a few friends in their decisions of completing their living room and bedroom. It’s in the planning to do this on a professional level.

Just to harmonize a room to a perfect picture, is important I think, as what you surround yourself with, influences your mood. I am always thinking of this, when I am in a restaurant or pub, I think of how I would handle the design.

I also feel great pleasure when I see people grow as a person and bloom into their fullest potential. With that I love to help people that seem in need, those that are in a difficult position and really could use some support. When I attended a lecture of the Dalai Lama in Copenhagen in April this year, that feeling grew even more, what a light and inspiration that man brings!

Walking in nature is something that always gives me peace of mind, and is harmony in its purest form. The flowing of clouds in the sky, wild flowers in a wheat field, a tiny bird in a blossom tree, its just perfect as it is. When I was on a Holiday on the Faroe Islands I was blown away by the refreshing ocean air and the impressive steep cliffs. Also the flow of a city, its total picture and ‘feel’, can make me smile.

The city I live in now, Odense, has a fairytale feel to it, as it is the place where H.C Andersen grew up.

All the above I’d like to combine somehow, and make Eco-friendly furniture and products in respect of ‘mother nature’. And also design products that could benefit those in need. As I am living in Denmark where design is a big aspect in life, and respect for nature is high on the list, I feel very much at place and on the right path here.

This is a process that is unfolding in my life right now, like a butterfly spreading its wings.

Take Time to Dream: my ultimate dream

dreaming

Dreaming at night takes you to places you visited, invented, a combination of both or to your own surprise you dream about images of people, places, situations and feelings unknown to you until now.

Daydreaming
The dreaming I am referring to is DAYDREAMING! When was the last time you intentionally started daydreaming about your dreamlife? About the life you are possibly already are living, but in the daydream you added some finishing touches. Or daydreaming about the life you wish you were living? If you can’t remember, start now! As an ‘experienced’ dreamer I know from firsthand that dreams come true. If only you are willing to break down the barriers to start believing in the dream, but that’s another subject. Let’s go back to actively and playfully daydreaming about your life.

My ultimate dream
I would like to share my ultimate dream with you to give you an idea about how I go about this.

My dream has been the same for several years now. Even before I met my partner. It’s quite simple if I say so myself. I picture myself in and around a lovely house surrounded by a landscape comparable to Tuscany in Italy. I love the sea, so a combination of both would be awesome. With a large wooden table covered with fresh food, great wine, water and the seats are occupied by family and friends. All children are running and playing around this table and in the garden. Together we eat, talk, sing and play (music, games, sport and so on) with each other until the sun sets. During the day I work as in coaching people, give workshops, write and visit places to be inspired. Off course I am a working mom. This means I will divide my time between work and taking care of the children.

In a way I am already living my ultimate dream. Now, together with my partner we’re working towards our dreams. We are getting there and we keep on dreaming.

Start daydreaming now
I hope you feel inspired to start daydreaming more and more. Be careful that it doesn’t take you out of the workflow of day-to-day life. Stay conscious, but add some flavour to your current life with daydreaming. Let’s say the recipe is: a few times a day for at least 2 minutes! 😉

Film about French cooking: Julie & Julia

Here comes another blog on food. Why write about work when we’re in the middle of holiday and summer season! On the 9th of October 2009 I wrote the blog: ‘Discover your passion by coincidence -Brazil part 3’. This blog was inspired by the book ‘My Life in France’ and I knew then that the book was filmed, but it was not until June 2010 when I watched the movie. I liked both the book and the movie. The reason is simple: I love food. I love to talk about food, watch food, watch food being prepared, buy food, cook food and off course eat food. 🙂
